Passion and why NOW is the time to write your nutrition book!

passion quotePassion is just one of the many great reasons to write your nutrition book!

When you are passionate about something and have a message to share that is your own, you owe it to yourself and to the world to share this message. And what better way to do this than to write a book!

Gabrielle Bernstein, New York Times best-selling author of May Cause Miracles says it so eloquently:  “When you love what you do, a power greater than you takes over. Passion creates purpose.”

Many of the nutrition professionals I know have gone into the field because of their own health challenges. They live it, dig deep to find solutions, find answers and feel really passionate about what they have learned and what they do.

This is certainly why I switched careers and became a nutritionist. In my late 30s, while working in my high-stress computer job (that I was starting to hate) I suffered terribly from anxiety, stress, unexplained fears, waking with a sense of doom and even had three panic attacks – racing heart, clammy skin, hyperventilating and I really thought I was going to die!  It was awful and very very scary!

I’ve always loved reading and I read every book I could get my hands on. I must have read 50+ books. One of the books that helped me tremendously was Ann Louise Gittleman’s Before the Change:Taking Charge of Your Perimenopause.

Together with reading and working with some amazing natural health practitioners, I found the answers I needed. I used gluten elimination, and the amazing healing powers of foods and nutrients like GABA to completely heal and am no longer anxious or worried or stressed, and have not had a panic attack since then.

I was SO awe-struck and passionate about the solutions I had found that I actually left my high-paying corporate job and went back to school to study nutrition. My dream was to start my own nutrition consulting business to help other women who experience this – so they can feel on top of the world again.  And to actually make a difference in this world!

And I’m now doing this…living my dream, making a difference and transforming the lives of anxious women.

Writing my first book, The Antianxiety Food Solution – How the Foods You Eat Can Help you Calm Your Anxious Mind, Improve Your Mood and End Cravings, was the obvious next step for me.

And it can be for you too!

Writing your nutrition book can:

  • make such a difference and can really transform lives
  • be a valuable resource to your current clients as well as possible future clients
  • give you a bigger reach as you start to get media coverage
  • give you more credibility
  • set you up as an expert
  • and be an income stream – from book sales, other related products, speaking and programs

And now I get to share what I have learned during the book writing process so other nutrition professionals, like you, can write a book too

Please join me August 29th, 5pm PST/6pm MST/7pm CST/ 8pm EST for a Complimentary Call where we’ll talk about more of the WHYs and much more

The path you have taken is something I admire greatly, Trudy. You are truly helping others with your hard-won knowledge and training, and with your book. Now what you can teach about writing and marketing will benefit others, too.

  2. Trudy – You are a wonderful example of what can happen if you trust yourself, follow your passion, stay true to who you are, and work hard! Oh, and it helps that you’re an undeniable leader and expert in your field, and that you never rest on your laurels. I love that you’re always learning and strengthening your base of knowledge. You are really, very inspiring!

    • Trudy Scott says:

Jennifer – thank you so much saying this – I’ve got a big smile on my face!

    • Keysha Stepanova says:

All I have to say is WOW, I am so inspired by your personal anxiety experience which I can relate to, and after reading some of the positive responses I am now more motivated to writing an e-book on my own experience with symptoms related to vitamin and mineral deficiencies I have suffered for years. Learning nutrition and adapting to different types of foods is what got me through.

  3. Trudy, I think that this carries over to anything in life that you are passionate about. I am in total agreement of the power and importance of food!

  4. Bill Painter says:

You obviously love what you do and are making an impact on others.

  5. You story is amazing and the work that you do touches so many lives. It’s great to see you helping other people who what to write about nutrition and share their knowledge.

  6. PJ Van Hulle says:

I’ve heard that some ridiculously high percentage of people (over 85%, I think) want to write a book but very few of them get around to it.

That makes me think of this Goethe quote, “Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. ”

  10. Heidi Alexandra says:

How wonderful to see the fruits of your passion flourish Trudy – may you continue to go from strength to strength. I agree with Gabrielle Bernstein, that “When you love what you do, a power greater than you takes over. Passion creates purpose.”
